Published:

Short answer: from 1 July 2026 Microsoft raised the list prices of Business Basic (+16%) and Business Standard (+12%), while Business Premium stayed the same. It also added 50 GB of email storage to all three plans, and time-of-click URL protection to Basic and Standard. The new price applies at the first renewal after 1 July 2026.

Which plans went up?

Business Basic and Business Standard went up. Business Premium kept the same list price. The same applies to the versions without Teams: Basic and Standard without Teams went up, while Premium without Teams stayed flat.

When does the increase affect me?

If you already have a subscription, the new price applies at your first renewal after 1 July 2026, not immediately. Until then you keep the old price for your current commitment period.

What should I do about the increase?

The increase narrowed the price gap between Business Standard and Business Premium, while Premium gives security (EDR, Intune, email protection) you would otherwise buy separately. Our own practical advice: at your next renewal, review per user — many office users work out better on Premium than on Standard plus a separate antivirus and email filter.

At ITHACA we review your invoice line by line and tell you where you pay for licences you do not need and where a different plan works out better for you.

Frequently asked questions

If I renew now, do I lock the old price?

The new list price applies to renewals after 1 July 2026. For the exact picture per subscription, we check the renewal date together and what makes sense before you commit again.

Did Business Premium go up?

No. Business Premium kept the same list price, which is why it became more attractive relative to Standard after the increase.
