What is: Zero Trust

Zero Trust is a security model that trusts no user or device by default — it verifies every access every time, even from inside the network.

The old model trusted whatever was "inside the network". Today, with cloud, remote work and stolen credentials, that is not enough. Zero Trust requires verification of identity, device state and permissions on every request.

In practice it is implemented with MFA, Conditional Access, least privilege and network segmentation.
